Challenge
Kafiex Roasters wanted to create a 5th-anniversary, limited-edition coffee bag design that would be a practice in pushing their brand towards a more contemporary and playful sphere.
Opportunity
We expand their minimalist style into a new realm while maintaining a sense of consistency with existing brand elements. The introduction of textured typography and a high contrast composition to legacy brand visuals struck the right balance between the brand’s foundational minimalism with the addition of a playful twist that results in a sense of natural evolution. Consumers reported excitement over the new design that “popped off the shelf” and made them curious to taste more 88+ point coffee.

We strategically combined the launch of Kafiex’s limited edition packaging design with the introduction of their coffee subscription launch for a compounding effect. The visual elements from the package design were brought into organic and paid social media marketing to promote their award-winning coffee offering nationally.

All of this while empowering women coffee farmers via Cafe Femenino and educating the public about the incredible journey of coffee from farm to cup.
